Texas Bluebonnets

Thank goodness for Aunt LaLa, or else I would have never been able to take pictures of the girls in the famous Texas bluebonnets.  She helped chase the girls while I tried to get a decent shot.   We found a ditch in Kingwood two years ago that had bluebonnets, and here's what we were able to capture then:

There weren't as many this time around, mainly because it was later in the season.  But I think it was enough for a few pics.  Natalie was terrified at first to sit on the ground.  She was so scared a bug was going to get her.

 

 

 

What are you doing these days?

Well, girls, you are 32 months old and here's a list of your milestones:

-can sing your ABC's
-just figured out you can stick a raisin up your nose
-ask "Where does _______ come from?"  When we are talking about a new subject.
-can sing "You are my sunshine"
-know to hide under the table or in a corner when you shouldn't be playing with mommy and daddy's stuff
-want to do everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) "by myself"
-one of your favorite games is to pretend an alligator is chasing us, and we have to hide on the couch or a bed so  it doesn't "chomp you"
-you are probably your happiest when you are playing in dirt, mud, sand

Spring pictures

After MDO today, I quickly changed the girls into dresses and plopped them down on our bench in the front yard.  Fruit loops is the only way I could get them to stay on that bench.  The problem is they can't smile with a mouth full of brightly colored cereal.  Here's what I got.  I also tried to get them to hide their cereal.  Did it work?  Can you find Natalie's blue tooth?

The girls and I got to visit with our friends this week.  My good friend that I met at TCH, Christi, has a daughter, Avery, that is the same age as my girls.  We love going to their house, because I get to have much needed adult conversation and the girls love playing with "Avey" (Avery).  All of Avery's toys are completely different than the ones we have at our house, so the girls are in heaven.  Can you tell which toy the girls fought over?  One day I hope to get all three girls in a picture.  I can't imagine how my triplet friends get group pictures at this age.

Louisiana Fun

I started to make a post about Lauren's wedding weekend and then realized that I took about 5 pictures the entire weekend (very rare for me).  So, I'll go ahead and post what we did after the fun filled weekend.  Oh, Congratulations LaLa and Mad-dog!  Hope you two are having a blast in Belize!

My mom and I took the girls to the Baton Rouge Zoo, where they loved the choo choo train and the tiger exhibit.  The time change did have a big effect on the girls and their nap times so I have to admit it wasn't the easiest outing.  At one point, I think the whole zoo could hear the girls crying.

I love that you can see the girls reflection in the marble ball, especially since they are holding hands. 

Today, Patrick and I took the girls to the New Orleans Children's Museum.  We stayed there 3 hours and they didn't stop exploring for those 3 hours.  They were at full speed the entire time. 

The girls thought this exhibit was a Halloween decoration.  When you petal your bike, the skeleton pedals his bike.  Claire really enjoyed it and kept a watchful eye on that skeleton.  I caught Natalie being the little actress in the last picture.  She was acting so silly and had me laughing for awhile.

Since I've got 5 loads of clothes to fold and I need to pack 2 suitcases, I'm going to make this short and sweet with unedited pictures.  We had a Mardi Gras masquerade playdate with KAMOM friends today.  The kids were so wild that I didn't get pictures of them making their masks, so we decorated extra ones at home tonight.

Apparently, they have a hard time figuring out where their noses go....

So, I have to brag about my Claire Bear.  She came and got me in the kitchen and told me to come look at her see saw.  What a little engineer!

Goin to the chapel and we're going to get married

Well, it's 10 days before LaLa and Mad-dog's wedding, and we're starting to get excited over here in Kingwood.  I'm making the video for their rehearsal dinner that has pictures of the soon-to-be hitched couple from birth to now.  It's funny how I see little bits and pieces of my girls in our childhood photos, it could be a smile that resembles Natalie or a pose that is strikingly similar to Claire.  I think genetics are one cool subject, maybe I could be a geneticist in my next life or the life after I am a private detective (seriously, ask David, I've really wanted to be one).  Anyways, there is no point to this blog entry.  I just wanted to share my joy about the upcoming nuptials of two of the best people I know.  Seriously, Mad-dog is the real life Handy Manny and has been a blessing to not only Lauren but to my family as well.  Love you guys!
