I'm Dreaming of a Pink Christmas....

Santa couldn't help it.  He granted the girls' wishes, and most of their requests just happened to be pink.  Despite having coughs, runny noses, and fever, we had a wonderful Christmas.  It was extra special because we got to spend it with Poppa, Sugar, and Jen Jen.

Yes, I caught ya Claire!  She thought she was in a good hiding place :)  She and Natalie went over to our wonderful twin friends' house and made these gingerbread houses.  You can read all about that fun playdate at our friends' blog, Seeing Double.  Their mom is like a real life Martha Stewart.

Mommy's Project 52:10 Cleaning

Not sure where to start.  I don't have any pics of the girls cleaning.  I should probably try to capture that soon.  I am getting better at including them in cleaning the house.  They are getting better at picking up; I just can't walk out of the playroom or they start playing all over again.  So I've learned that they need constant supervision while doing their cleaning endeavors.  They like to take wet paper towels, and help me wipe down the table. Oh, one word of advice to new parents: don't buy an expensive table during the toddler years.  I have eyeliner drawn over the entire underside of my table.  I guess they knew where to draw so they wouldn't get in trouble, because I just found it and it has to 3 months old :)  Also, your table will get stuff like oatmeal, milk, etc  stuck in the crevices of the table and chairs.  It ends up hardening like concrete.  Glad I stuck to my craigslist kitchen table!

Mommy's Project 52:8 Happiness

The girls will be 3 1/2 in a month and are somewhat resembling teenagers. They are moody, very concerned with their clothes, and don't do a good job of picking up after themselves. However, when their mood swings in the happy direction they aren't just happy but usually ecstatic. Make-believe games, dress up clothes, dolls, and Halloween candy are just a few things that make them happy. Oh, and most importantly famiy makes them happy. They love being around family and ask about them often. They write or color letters for them, and then sneak off and get envelopes out my desk. 30 envelopes disappeared in one day last week! Anyways, here are pictures of them from one of their happiest days yet...Halloween!

 They were also allowed to wear their Halloween costumes to ballet class. I occasionally caught them wathcing themselves while twirling in their poodle skirts and petticoat.
