Memorial Day and the Pool

We've had a big weekend.  We celebrated David's birthday with Sugar and Poppa.  We worked in our yard (which I find relaxing) and then let the girls play in their pool.  Many thanks to Sugar and Poppa.  I felt like I had a mini vacation. It's been so long that I've gotten to sleep in.  I can't thank you enough for the "me time"  and the delicious cheesecake!

An Ole Miss Grad

The girls and I embarked on a long trip to Oxford, MS for uncle Patrick's college graduation.  Natalie and I did not make the actual graduation due to a farewell present from their daycare (the stomach flu).  Can you imagine how much I'm going to miss that place?  Anyways, we had a great time visiting with family and friends.




So, I'm now playing around with my new camera and photoshop elements. Here's a picture of Natalie playing with clover flowers, edited with Rita's Coffeshop sun kissed action.  (I'm a newbie in the digital editing world, so I haven't figured out how to edit out Natalie's runny nose :) Anyways, Natalie is not known for her focus.  She is known more as a wildflower in our house.  So, we were shocked to see Natalie and Sarah playing with these flowers for over an hour. 

I'm glad we were able to get a group photo of all the girls. It seems like we are never in the same place.

Scrapbooking

This is my first attempt at scrapbooking for the girls.  I am now discovering the world of digital scrapbooking and here is my first completed page.  It's not so fancy, because the only time I can learn about photoshop is either late at night or during a short break from housework.  It's funny how "your" time totally becomes "their" time.  I wouldn't trade it for the world though. 

Old McD's playdate

LaLa and Honey were in town this weekend to help me with post op Claire.  By the way, she had ear tubes placed and an adenoidectomy last Wednesday. We are excited and hopeful that Claire will no longer be a regular in the pediatricians office.  We decided to visit Old McDonald's Farm before the Houston heat would make it miserable.  Our friends, the Marchand twins, joined us as we rode horses, petted sheep (lambs?), fed goats, and rode a choo choo train.

I need to start blogging right after big events.  It's been almost a month since Easter, and I'm having the hardest time recalling the funny and sweet things that happened.  Heck, I can't remember what happened this morning.  What I do remember is that the girls loved hunting eggs, soaked up attention from family and friends, chased bubbles, were ever curious (my girls were the only kids that tried to run into the Tchefuncte River at an egg hunt).  Due to an illness, we had to return to Texas early and didn't get to have our Baton Rouge Easter egg hunt.  Maybe next year.
